U’s v Whyteleafe (24/07/07)

Final score: 3-0

Sutton visited Church Road to take on Whyteleafe and came away three goals to the good. The first half saw Bradley Garness turn in a cross with the outside of his boot, managing to beat the keeper at the near post. The second half saw Craig Watkins and Warren McBean set each other up the second and third. Craig's well judged lobbed cross was met by Warren's forehead and then Warren returned the favour pulling the ball back to Craig on the penalty spot after some excellent work on the left wing. Unfortunately the game didn't finish so brightly for Alan Bray who was caught by a horrendous challenge that fortunately only led to a dead leg.

U’s v Brentford (28/07/07)

Final score: 3-1

Sutton welcomed the Bees to Gander Green Lane for the first of their two home friendlies. Sutton got off to a good start and looked comfortable throughout the ninety minutes. Just past the half hour Craig Watkins gave the U's the lead after crashing in Stephen Opoka's pass from six yards out. Sutton could've been two up at half time but Warren McBean failed to score from the spot twice as his initial penalty was saved but the 'keeper had come off his line early. The post then intervened on the second attempt.
The second half saw two superb individual strikes from McBean that were split by Brentford's goal, which was scored by former U loanee Charlie Ide.

Team: Gareth Williams, Asher Hudson (Liam Pestle), Alan Bray (Ryan Palmer), Lewis Gonsalves, John Scarborough, Paul Honey (Solomon Taiwo), Craig Watkins (Jason Henry), Nick Greene, Warren McBean, Stephen Opoka (Zak Graham), Craig Tanner (Ross White).

U’s v Millwall XI (01/08/07)

Final score: 0-2

In a game where the score line somewhat flatters the opposition, Sutton can feel proud of the performance that they put in. The first half was an even affair with neither side troubling the 'keepers. But the U's came out and dominated the first twenty minutes of the second period. Eventually the Lions came back into it and grabbed a couple of goals to give them the victory. The first after Phil Wilson had done well to parry a low shot and the second was a shot from a narrow angle.

Team: Gareth Williams (Phil Wilson), Liam Pestle, Asher Hudson (Ryan Palmer), John Scarborough, Darius Charles, Solomon Taiwo (Zak Graham), Paul Honey (Tony Cuff), Nick Greene, Warren McBean (Ross White), Jason Henry (Jason Goodchild), Craig Tanner.

U’s v Leatherhead (04/08/07)

Final score: 2-0

Sutton finished off their pre-season fixtures with a visit to Leatherhead on a glorious summers afternoon. Craig Watkins got the game off to a great start as he knocked down the ball and thundered in a volley from the edge of the area. Warren McBean then added the second as he cut in from the left and placed the ball past the 'keeper. Unfortunately neither player finished the ninety minutes as they were both withdrawn through injury. Jason Henry also created a couple of chances but the U's couldn't add to their tally. Gareth Williams and Phil Wilson split the goalkeeping duties between them but neither of them were troubled at any point.
